Wolfe, 77, formerly of Myerstown, died Friday, September 25, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of Harold C. Wolfe, to whom she was married 57 years on September 20. Born in Lebanon, October 29, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Frank P. and Helen M. (Lutz) Woelfling. She was a 1949 graduate of Myerstown High School, 1952 graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing, Reading, and received a B.S. degree in Education in 1964 from Millersville University. She had been a staff nurse for Dr. John L. Groh at the Lebanon Sanitarium for seven years before becoming the school nurse for the ELCO School District, Myerstown, for 30 years, retiring in 1989. Catherine was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Cornwall, Lebanon County Honor Society, and enjoyed reading, traveling, sewing, and quilting. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Susan M., wife of Dr. Philip D. Pulaski of North Bethesda, Md.; sons, Michael J., husband of Catherine A. Wolfe of New Freedom, and Steven P. Wolfe, husband of Linda Morud of Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren; brother, Frank A., husband of Maxine Woelfling of Strasburg; and two nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Parish Hall of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Cornwall. Viewing Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, and Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall at the church. Recitation of the Rosary Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
