Paul V. Wooten, 81, of Rehrersburg, Pa., died Sunday, April 12, 2009, at his residence. He was the husband of Helen L. (Kline) Wooten, to whom he would have been married 18 years on June 30. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Augusta Senn Wooten, who died in 1991. Born in Kitchen, West Virginia, on June 30, 1927, he was the son of the late Mack H. Wooten and Ethel Browning. After serving 22 years in the U.S. Army, he retired in 1967 as a staff sergeant. He enjoyed golfing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sisters Betty Dame of Palm Springs, Florida, Carol Browning of Man, West Virginia, and Donna Bragg of Gilbert, West Virginia; niece Theresa Martin of Richwood, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Cork K. Griffin, Ralph Griffin, Boyd Griffin, Mack Griffin, Gary Griffin, Fred Griffin, James Allen, John Allen; and sisters Janice Griffin and Lilly McCall. There will be no services. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, is in charge of arrangements.
