  Miriam C. Yake, 83, formerly of Annville died Monday, January 19, 2009, in 
  Cornwall Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Oliver D. Yake Jr., 
  who died in 1999. Born in Lebanon on May 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the 
  late Earl and Miriam C. Zimmerman Shirk. She worked in the cafeteria for the 
  Annville-Cleona School District. Miriam was a member of St. Mark Lutheran 
  Church, Annville, was an Annville Girl Scout leader, and a 1942 graduate of 
  Lebanon High School. Surviving are two daughters, Karen, wife of Ernie Weaber 
  of Mt. Wilson, and Susan J. Yake of Ashburn, Va.; a brother, Robert D. Shirk of 
  Winston Salem, N.C.; four granddaughters, Tammy, Amy, Michelle, and Kelly; and 
  eight great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Tyler, Samantha, Lee, Jayden, Jack, and 
  Rose. She was preceded in death by a greatgrandson, Jefferson. Funeral services 
  will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 
  618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park. 
  Viewing will be held from 1-2 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. 
  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 200 
  E. Main Street, Annville, PA 17003; or the Penn Laurel Girl Scouts, 151 Good 
  Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
