Yoter, 70, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009, in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Born May 1, 1939, in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Amanda J. (Wilson) Morgan. She was the widow of William E. Yoter, and also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. She retired from the laundry department of Hershey Entertainment and Resort Company and was of the Lutheran faith. She was a member of Lebanon American Legion and the Palmyra Fire Company; Ladies Auxiliary; life member and past president of the Palmyra VFW Ladies Auxiliary; and a representative of VFW Ladies Auxiliary District #18 for the Lebanon VA Hospital. She enjoyed playing Bingo and as an active five year resident of Twin Oaks Nursing Center, Campbelltown; she was President of the Resident's Council; a Resident Advocate, a Pa. Empowered Expert Resident; and chairman of Fundraising. Surviving are a son Walter D., husband of Barb Yoter of Mount Wolf; daughters, Diane M. Hansen of Elizabethtown, and companion, Bob Seigle, Tina M., wife of Kerry Snavely of Palmyra, Mary K. Heiserman of Palmyra, and Billie M., wife of John Masterton of Springhill, Fla.; three brothers; four sisters; grandchildren Mandy, Tracy, Michele, John Henry, David, Tiffany, Dawn, Ryan, Courtney, Ashley, Meagan, and Brad; 12 greatgrandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many friends. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2009, at Buse Funeral Home, 145 N. Grant St., Palmyra. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Viewings 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and 12 to 1 p.m. Monday, both at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Twin Oaks Residents Fund, 2880 Horseshoe Pike, Palmyra, PA 17078.
