Kalbach Verna M. Kalbach Zartman MYERSTOWN Verna M. Kalbach Zartman, 83, formerly of Lebanon died Thursday, July 30, 2009, in the Evangelical Con gregational Retirement Village, Myerstown. She was the wife of the late Carl R. Kalbach and the late William Zartman. Born in Lebanon on December 31, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Alice Winklebleck Williams. She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Myerstown, and a social member of the Friendship and Perseverance Fire Companies, the Lebanon Senior Center, and a former member of the DAV Auxiliary. Verna was an avid pinochle and scrabble player, enjoyed making crafts, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are six daughters, Joan A., wife of Keith Gerhart of Lebanon, Dorothy A., wife of Brian Zimmerman of Lebanon, Nancy C., wife of Patrick Wagner of Campbelltown, Tonya I., wife of Robert Fourman of Lebanon, Luann K. Wade of Lebanon, and Lori A., wife of Donald Weaver of Lebanon; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a daughter-in-law, Nicole Kalbach of Texas. She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl R. Kalbach; and a grandson, Richard Cory Kalbach. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. from the Kreamer and Lum Funeral Home and Crematory, Rt. 72 and Campmeeting Road, Jonestown. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lebanon VA Hospital Volunteers or Veterans Activity Center, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
