  Mary B. Zimmerman, 83, of Akron entered into rest at her residence on Tuesday, 
  April 14, 2009. She was born in Martindale, a daughter of the late Martin M. 
  and the late Susanna Burkholder Zimmerman She was a member of the Springville 
  Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference) and had worked in the laundry 
  department of Ephrata Community Hospital for many years prior to her 
  retirement. Surviving are two brothers, John A., husband of Edna (Horning) 
  Zimmerman of Ephrata, and Paul, husband of Lena (Burkholder) Zimmerman of 
  Ephrata; six sisters, Elsie B. Zimmerman of Akron, Eva, widow of Paul Z. Martin 
  of Womelsdorf, Anna, wife of Mervin Horst of Richland, Esther, wife of Willis 
  Good of Myerstown, Sarah, wife of Raymond Zimmerman of Lebanon, and Susan, wife 
  of Paul Martin of Stevens; a sister-in-law, Vera, widow of Eli Zimmerman of 
  Ephrata; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents 
  and three brothers, Elmer, Eli, and Martin Zimmerman. A viewing will be held 
  from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, April 19th, at the Farm Crest Chapel of Fairmount Homes, 
  Ephrata. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, April 20th, at the 
  chapel with further services at 9:30 a.m. at the Weaverland Frame Mennonite 
  Church with Bishop Lester B. Martin and ministers Wilmer R. Martin, Walter Z. 
  Zimmerman, and Gary L. Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow in the 
  adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. Arrangements by Stradling 
  Funeral Homes, Akron/Ephrata.
