"Betty" Acker, 87, died peacefully in her home on Saturday, April 17, 2010. She was the wife of Earl E. Acker, who passed away April 3, 2001, and to whom she was married for 61 years. She was born on May 15, 1922, in Fredericksburg, a daughter of the late Michael and Katherine Cambich Molesavich. She was a retired supervisor in the Dietary Dept. of the Lebanon VA Med. Center. Betty was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Lebanon, where she was a member of the ECW. Active in the community, she was a member of Lebanon Chapter #115 OES, Order of the Amaranth, Red Hat Ladies, Walkers Breakfast Group, Lebanon Senior Center, Turnpike Survivors, and NARF. She and her late husband had traveled extensively and had friends throughout the world, some of whom came to Lebanon on return visits. Surviving are sons, Dr. Earl E. and wife, Louise Acker of Landisville, and Glenn A. and wife, Barbara Acker of Mt. Gretna; granddaughters, Laura B. Miller of Lebanon, Susan A., wife of Frank Atkinson of Lebanon, AnJeanette A., wife of Anthony Sanchez of Bucks Co., and Mary Lisabeth Acker of King George Co., Va.; greatgrandchildren, Jon Scott Miller, Suzanne Miller, Shealeigh Atkinson, Mycaeri Atkinson, Greg Rosario, Mia Sanchez, and Roman Sanchez; and sister, Catherine, wife of Clarence Smith of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Pajske, Mildred Resanovich, Mary Ann Funk, and Anna Sholly; and brothers, Evica Molesavich, John Molesavich, and Stephen Molesavich. Funeral services Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 22 S. 6th St., Lebanon 17042, where a viewing will be held Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. Interment Grand View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her church. The Rohland Funeral Home, Inc., Lebanon, is in charge of arrangements.
