  Thomas R. Allen LEBANON Thomas R. Allen, 57, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010, 
  from injuries sustained when he was struck by an automobile while working as a 
  flagger for PennDOT on Gravel Hill Road and Lindley Murray Road in East Hanover 
  Twp., Lebanon County. He was the husband of Pamela Allen and they would have 
  celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on May 21, 2010. Thomas was born in 
  Chicago, Ill., on October 6, 1952, a son of the late Margaret K. (Kruger) and 
  Robert T. Allen. He was a PennDOT employee and was also an equipment operator 
  for the PennDOT Lebanon County maintenance office. He graduated from Reavis 
  High School in Burbank, Ill. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and target shooting. 
  He was looking forward to helping his son, Josh and his wife, Karen, build 
  their log cabin. He served in the National Guard. He was a former member of St. 
  Albert's Church in Chicago. Surviving, in addition to his wife, Pamela, are two 
  children, Jason M., husband of Angela Allen of Palmyra, and Joshua T., husband 
  of Karen Allen of Lebanon; two grandchildren; one sister, Judith Schluter of 
  Sycamore, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one 
  sister, Sharon Rilly. A loving tribute to Tom's life will be held Monday 
  evening at 7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, 
  17042 preceded by a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment 
  will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations 
  may be made to the Arthritis Foundation , P.O. Box 668, Camp Hill, PA 17011; or 
  The Humane Society, 150 N. Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
