  Dean R. Arndt HERSHEY Dean R. Arndt, 69, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010, 
  surrounded by his family in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center after a battle with 
  pancreatic cancer. Born in Hershey, on October 12, 1940, he was the son of the 
  late Thomas E. and June Light Arndt. Dean is survived by his wife of 46 years, 
  Fannie I. Aldinger Arndt, whom he married on August 25, 1963; three daughters, 
  E. Susan, wife of Kenneth W. Sanders, Kendra L., wife of James L. Martin, Jr., 
  and Ronda K. Arndt; one son, Michael D. Arndt; two sisters, Joan Nagle and 
  Alice Benson; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded 
  in death by a daughter, Karen Larae Arndt Smith, on June 20, 2005; a sister, 
  Della Arndt; and one brother, Thomas L. Arndt. Dean retired as a truck driver 
  from Northwest Trucking, and was a former driver for Stroehmann's Bakery for 
  over 20 years. He was a 1958 graduate of Annville-Cleona High School. Dean 
  attended Lebanon Valley Bible Church. He enjoyed camping and going to the 
  mountains, and found a great joy in visiting with the Amish. Funeral services 
  will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Conewago Church of the 
  Brethren, 7035 Schoolhouse Road, Hershey, with the Rev. Scott Cooper 
  officiating. Interment will be in Shenk's Community Church Cemetery, Conewago 
  Township. Viewings will be held Monday in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, 
  Inc., 114 W. Main St., Hummelstown, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday in the 
  church from 10 to 11 a.m.
