  Robert W. Atkinson 
  
  Robert W. Atkinson LEBANON Robert W. Atkinson, 85, went to be with his Lord on 
  Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at the Spruce Manor, West Reading. He was the 
  husband of Jane R. Barbour Atkinson for 62 years. Born in Olney/Philadelphia, 
  on March 28, 1925, he was the son of Howard N. and Mary E. Clark Atkinson. 
  Retired from People National Bank, he had served in the U.S. Navy Submarine 
  Duty in WWII and the Korean War. He was a 25 year member of St. Mark's United 
  Church of Christ and Him Singers, and a Lebanon T.P.A. member. He was also a 
  member and original founder of Phila. Sub. Vet. of WWII., Sub Vets 
  International, and a 65 year member of American Legion #366. He was a former 
  official of commercial softball, college and high school swimming, and East 
  College Football, and he was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. In addition to 
  his wife, he is survived by daughters, Marguerite C., wife of Eberhard Kaupp, 
  and Jane Anne, wife of Roger Gookin; five granddaughters; and one grandson. 
  Burial will be Friday, August 20, at 2:30 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National 
  Cemetery. Memorial services will be Saturday, August 21, at 11 a.m. at St. 
  Mark's United Church of Christ. 426 N. 8th St., Lebanon. Taylor-Ruffner Funeral 
  Home, Inc., 712 Chestnut St., Lebanon, handled the arrangements.
