Barker, 75, of Lancaster County, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at 4:50 p.m. in her residence. She was the wife of Alvin H. Barker. Born in Akron, on December 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Clayton G. and Florence M. (Clair) Habecker. Mrs. Barker was a member of Willow Street United Church of Christ. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Sharon L. (Barker), wife of Walter Gable of Lancaster, and Kathryn L. (Barker), wife of Clyde T. Diffendall of East Petersburg; four grandchildren, Jessica A. Eshbach, Timothy M. Barker, Jeffrey L. Barker, and Rene Pope; six greatgrandchildren, Hunter J. Barker, Jeffrey L. Barker, Jr., Jason L. Barker, Jadin L. Barker, Kyle Pope, and Katlyn Pope; four sisters, Helen (Habecker) Brosey of Campbelltown, Mary F. (Habecker) Matthew of Salem, N.J., and Mildred (Habecker) Miller of Pennsville, N.J., and Martha (Habecker) Lehn of Lancaster; and a sister-inlaw, Edna G. Barker of Lebanon. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Joyce E. Krick; and two greatgrandchildren, Carrie Ann Geiter and Kyle Krick. Services will be Tuesday, April 6, at 11 a.m. in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring. The Rev. Ron A. Bohannon and the Rev. Holly L. Millershank will officiate. Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be made in St. Jacobs Kimmerlings Reformed Church Cemetery, Lebanon County. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society , 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605.
