  Eugene C. Batz 
  
  ANNVILLE Eugene C. "Rum" Batz, 58, of Louser Road, died Sunday, September 5, 
  2010, in his home. Born January 6, 1952, in Lebanon, he was a son of Lillian G. 
  (Marks) Batz of Hershey and the late Harold R. Batz. He was also preceded in 
  death by a brother, Michael H. Batz. He retired as a mechanic from H.B. Reese 
  Candy Company. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Dorothy M. 
  (Gamber) Batz; children, Jesse J. Batz of Florida and Jessica J. Batz at home; 
  sisters, Patricia M. Batz of Palmyra, Joan M., wife of Barry Tyburski of 
  Hershey, and Joy E., wife of Tom Logan of Palmyra; and brother, Richard A. Batz 
  of Elizabethtown. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at Conewago 
  Church of the Brethren, 7035 Schoolhouse Road, Hershey. Interment will be 
  private in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday 
  at Buse Funeral Home, 145 N. Grant St., Palmyra, and 4 to 5 p.m. Friday at the 
  church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to National Institute of 
  Health, Attn. Dr. Howard A. Fine, 10 Center Drive, Bethesda, MD 20892.
