'Millie' Beatty, 91, died on Monday, April 19, 2010, at VA Medical Center. She was born on Sunday, February 16, 1919, to the late Earl Cates and Martha E. (Slate) Cates in Mansfield, Ark. She attended St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. She worked as a secretary at Bethlehem Steel Foundry and was a retired book store clerk at Lafayette College. She was a veteran of the Army in World War II and was a member of Women's Army Corps. Surviving are sons, Donald spouse of Margaret Beatty, Lebanon, Alan spouse of Karen Beatty, Egg Harbor, N.J.; grandchildren, Geoffrey spouse of Maria Beatty, Joanna Beatty, Jenna Beatty, Kristen Beatty; great-grandchildren, Emmanuel Beatty, Benicio Beatty, Candelaria Beatty, Calliope Beatty. She was preceded in death by husband Donald R. Beatty. Viewing will be on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon VA Medical Center Hospice Unit, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Ward 1-4 BH. Lebanon, PA 17042.
