Belair ANNVILLE Brian Vincent Belair was senselessly torn from his family and friends on Saturday, February 13, 2010. Brian was born June 18, 1969, at the Jacksonville Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Fla. He was a devoted son, uncle, brother, and grandson. Brian was family oriented and was always there to listen and lend a helping hand. He touched every life with which he came in contact. Brian was loved by all and will be truly missed!! Surviving are his parents, Frederick and Gloria Gingrich-Belair; his sister, Tanya Belair; his niece, Tatiana Belair; his nephew, Nikolai Belair; his maternal grandmother, Gloria NyeGingrich; his paternal grandmother, Mary Simpson; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and great friends. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Christopher Schwalm; maternal grandfather, Jacob Edward Gingrich, Sr.; aunt, Jacalyn Schwalm; uncle, Richard Simpson; and paternal grandfather, Frederick Simpson. Brian graduated from Palmyra Area High School in 1988. He earned an Associate's Degree from HACC and attended East Stroudsburg University, where he was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity and the wrestling team. Brian enjoyed designing, fabricating, and fixing tools and equipment. He also enjoyed riding his Harley. He loved the ocean and scuba diving. Brian was a member of Union Local 520 Pipefitters and Plumbers for 19 years where he served as an apprentice for the first five years. He worked as a fitter in pneumatic controls and as a welder. Brian was a proud member of the Harris Ferry Chapter ''Sons of the American Revolution'', Harrisburg, as was his maternal grandfather, Jacob E. Gingrich, Sr. under their direct ancestor, Major Michael Forrer. He was a member of The Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims. Brian loved exploring his family history. He was a member of Mount Lebanon Lodge No. 226 F & AM and had been a Past Master Counselor of the Teutonic Chapter of DeMolay and a member of The Consistory, Valley of Harrisburg. He was also a member of The Sons of the American Legion. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 27, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Gingrich's Mennonite Church, 100 Forney Road, Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Palmyra Wrestling Booster Club at THE PAW Club, P.O. Box 414, Palmyra, PA 17078.
