Boll, 98, of the Mennonite Home Lancaster, and formerly of Holtwood and Lititz, died peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2010. She was the wife of Pastor Joseph W. Boll who died in December of 1993. Born in Annville Township, she was the daughter of the late Ammon G. and Amanda G. Horst Ebersole. Ruth worked in the housekeeping department at Pleasant View Retirement Community Manheim for 10 Years. Ruth was a member of Erb Mennonite Church Lititz, and was a member of the women's sewing circle. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Ruth also volunteered her time at the Mennonite Home. Surviving are three sons, J. Richard husband of Esther Longenecker Boll, Mervin E. husband of Pauline Weaver Boll, all of Manheim, Daniel L. husband of Dorothy Ebersole Boll of Thorp, Wisconsin; four daughters, Orpha R. wife of Joseph Wadel of Ontario, Canada, Miriam E. wife of Harry Metzler of Newmanstown, Mary Jane wife of Samuel L. Metzler, of Peach Bottom, Alta Mae wife of C. Lehman Metzler of Willow Street; 32 grandchildren; 137 great-grandchildren; 31 great- great-grandchildren; and a sister, Cora Gerber of Orrville, Ohio. Preceding her in death are five brothers, two sisters, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Erb Mennonite Church 567 W. Lexington Road, Lititz, on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing at the church on Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. with additional viewing time on Thursday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. Please omit flowers.
