  Clarence R. "Noot" Bowman 
  
  Clarence R. Bowman LEBANON Clarence R. "Noot" Bowman, 83, of 26 Jay Ann Drive, 
  died on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at VA Medical Center. He was born on Friday, 
  September 24, 1926, to Ira Bowman and Minnie Bowman in Lebanon. He was a 
  veteran of the Navy in World War II on the U.S.S. Anchor. He ran a ceramic 
  business in Cleona and Lebanon and was a postal carrier for 29 years. He was a 
  member of the Rescue Fire Company. As a younger man, he played football and 
  baseball for the 5th Ward. He also enjoyed playing bingo and traveling, and had 
  a good sense of humor. Surviving are wife, Lorraine Bowman nee Stoessel of 
  Lebanon; daughter, Pamela J., spouse of John Banks of Connecticut; 
  grandchildren, Tamara L. Banks of Leveen, Ariz., John C. Banks, IV of 
  Connecticut, and Taryn L. Boehler of Lebanon; greatgrandchild, Audrey Elizabeth 
  Boehler; sisters, Ann Tice of Virginia and Romaine Books of Lebanon; niece, 
  Beverly Reitler of Colorado; and nephew, Vick Bowman of Colorado. He was 
  preceded in death by seven siblings. Viewing will be on Monday, June 7, 2010, 
  from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., 
  Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. 
  Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the 
  service. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Lebanon 
  County, 150 N. Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067. Christman's Funeral Home, Inc. 
  is honored to serve the family with the arrangements.
