M. shabodeho@aol.com July 4, 2010, 3:55 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on July 1, 2010 Helen (Schirm) Brehm Helen Brehm PALMYRA Helen (Schirm) Brehm, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 28, 2010, at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. She was born Sunday, November 27, 1921, in Tyrone, to the late Charles and Alice (Purdue) Schirm. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Aaron A. Brehm, in 2002. She graduated from Palmyra H.S. in 1939 and retired from the Hershey Chocolate Corporation in 1983 after 34 years of service in the Miniature/Wrapping Department. She and Aaron were members of Palm Lutheran Church. She is survived by a son, Ronald C. Brehm and wife Barbara (Geiling) of Palmyra; a son-in-law, Russell Clark of Carlisle; four grandchildren, Denise Thompson and husband Glenn of Carlisle, Christopher Brehm and wife Catherine of Alpharetta, Ga., Jacqueline Cox and husband Shane of Boiling Springs, Mark Brehm and wife Maureen of Easton; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Rochelle (Brehm) Clark in 2005; a brother, William Schirm in 2000; two sisters, Agnes Evans in 1967 and Martha Walters in 1973. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078, with the Rev. Cindy A. Brommer officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service. Private burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Pinnacle Hospice, 2645 N. Third St., Suite 300, Harrisburg, PA 17110; or Ronald McDonald House, 745 W.
