  Edith W. Burkholder 
  
  METTER, GA Edith W. Burkholder, formerly of Myerstown, born September 24, 1922, 
  died Thursday, September 23, 2010, at the age of 87 years, 11 months, 30 days. 
  She was the daughter of the late Noah W. and Elizabeth (Wise) Zimmerman and the 
  wife of the late Eli Burkholder. She was a member of the Little Mountain 
  Mennonite Church. She is survived by one son, David Z. Burkholder and wife, 
  Lucille of Benton, Ill.; three daughters, Rachel, wife of Earl Heatwole of 
  Metter, Ga., Ruth, wife of Willis Mast of Myerstown, and Rhoda, wife of Wilbur 
  Sweigart of Richland; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four 
  sisters, Eva Brubaker of Myerstown, Elizabeth Horst of Leola, Bertha Weaver of 
  Lititz, and Verna Martin of Denver, Pa. She was preceded in death by her 
  husband, an infant son, an infant daughter, and two sisters, Edna Groff and 
  Anna Weiler. Her death was caused by complications of hip surgery performed on 
  September 3, 2010. A viewing will be held at Little Mountain Mennonite Church 
  from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and a funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, 
  September 28, at Centerville Mennonite Church. Burial will be in the Martindale 
  Mennonite (Frame) Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. The Groff-High Funeral Home, 
  New Holland, is in charge of arrangements.
