  Mary E. Christ PALMYRA Mary Elizabeth Swoyer Christ, 88, died Saturday, August 
  7, 2010, at Columbia Cottage, Palmyra, where she had been a resident for five 
  years. Born March 1, 1922, in Lebanon County, she was a daughter of the late 
  Samuel H. and Mary J. (Maus) Swoyer. She retired from the Palmyra Area 
  Elementary School cafeteria with 22 years of service. A Girl Scout and Brownie 
  leader, she was a member of Palmyra Senior Citizens, and an Auxiliary member of 
  the Palmyra VFW, American Legion and Fire Company. She was the widow of Richard 
  H. Christ who died January 1980. Surviving are her children Paul R., husband of 
  Elizabeth Christ of Aiken, S.C., Linda M, wife of Dennis K. Snyder of Annville, 
  and Susan M, wife of Tom Slaughter of Annville; seven grandchildren; four 
  greatgrandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters. A funeral service will be 
  held 11 a.m. Thursday at Buse Funeral Home, 145 N. Grant St., Palmyra, preceded 
  by a viewing from 10 a.m. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, 
  Annville.
