"Grandma Charlie" Csallner, 83, of Brethren Village, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the wife of Gerhard Csallner, who passed away July 16, 2007. She was born in Lebanon, daughter of the late John and Katherine Roof McCurdy. She was a tube assembler for the former RCA Corp. for 26 years before her retirement in 1988. She was a member of the Church of the Apostles, United Church of Christ, and enjoyed crafts, gardening, her grandchildren, taking pictures, and going to garage sales. She is survived by one son, Anton (Eileen) Csallner of Port St. John, Fla.; six daughters, Judy (Richard) Finefrock of Lancaster, Patricia (Francis) Cramptin of Drumore, Wendy Sanderful of Denver, Robin (John) Miller of Mount Joy, Cheryl Shearer of Dover, and Heidi Csallner of Richmond, Va.; 14 grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; four brothers, John (Marian) McCurdy of Lebanon, Philip (Sylvia) McCurdy of Shartlesville, Ronald (Jean) McCurdy of Lebanon, and Robert (Mary) McCurdy of Jonestown; and seven sisters, Christine Meyer of Layton, Utah, Grace (Robert) Winters of Lebanon, Nancy Novak of Lebanon, Darlene Steiner of Harrisburg, Sandra Tobias of Lebanon, Barbara Brungart of Lebanon, and Linda James Kersey of Annville. She was preceded in death by one son, Craig Weirich, and one brother, Ricky McCurdy. The funeral service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 W. Main St., Mountville, on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Nancy L. Dahlberg officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
