Deichert passed away Monday, May 31, 2010, at his home succumbing to cardio-pulmonary disease. Preceding him in death were his parents, Woodrow W. Deichert and Mary S. Wagner Deichert Frantz; his stepfather, Eugene Frantz; a brother, John Deichert; and father-in-law, Clair Bohr. In 1957 he graduated from Pine Grove High School. Harry retired from AWI in Robesonia, where he was employed as a truck driver/dock worker. Harry was a member of the Suedberg Church of God. He was an avid hunter and founding father of the Red Suspender's Hunting Club. He was a member of the Oak Grove Sportsman's Club and honorary member of the Kittatinny Hunting & Fishing Club. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Sallie Bohr Deichert; a son, James and wife, Lori Deichert of Branchdale; two brothers, George and wife, Jayne of New York, and Charles and wife, Betty of Pine Grove; mother-in-law, Anna Bohr, sister-in-law, Judith Lehman, and brother-in-law, Gary Lehman, all of Pine Grove; and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Terry Jansma officiating. There will be a viewing on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Church of God Cemetery, Suedberg. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to either the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospice, 4th and Walnut Sts., P.O. Box 1281, Lebanon, PA 17042; or to the Suedberg Church of God, P.O. Box 106, Pine Grove, PA 17963 in his memory.
