  Viola M. de la Torre 
  
  Viola M. de la Torre ANNVILLE Viola M. de la Torre, 57, died Sunday, July 11, 
  2010, at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Paducah, Ky., on December 22, 1952, 
  she was the daughter of the late Mario de la Torre and Viola de la Torre. Viola 
  was a graduate of Gateway High School and Boyce Campus Community College in 
  Monroeville. She worked as a secretary in the Pittsburgh area and more recently 
  for local businesses. Viola enjoyed traveling and visiting family. She 
  especially enjoyed the beaches in North Carolina and Florida. Her pastimes 
  included following NASCAR, and attending Beach Boys, Alan Jackson, and James 
  Taylor concerts. The causes of battered women and veterans deeply touched her 
  heart and she frequently donated to the Shelter for Battered Women in Outer 
  Banks, N.C., and to various veterans' support groups. She is survived by her 
  brother, Mario de la Torre and his wife, Marian de la Torre; nieces, Alicia, 
  wife of Jeffery Yoder, Christina, wife of Brian Merkal, Bonita de la Torre; and 
  greatnieces, Olivia Yoder and AnnaBelle Merkal. A memorial service will be held 
  Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and 
  Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Memorial contributions may be made to a 
  local women's shelter or veterans group.
