Dengler, 82, of 148 Schaeffer Road, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Dr. Miriam Light Dengler, with whom he celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in June 2010. Born in Lebanon, on September 3, 1927, he was the son of the late Ross and Edith Zerbe Dengler. He was employed as a Safety Engineer for Whitmoyer Laboratories, Myerstown, and was a U.S. Army Veteran of Korea. Frantz graduated in 1946 from Lebanon High School, majored in Dietetics and minored in Chemistry, graduating from West Virginia Wesleyan in 1958. He was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Lebanon, served as Chairman of the Board of the Keystone Region RollsRoyce Owners' Club, was a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers from whom he received a 40 year award for Loyal and Dedicated Service to America, and over the years, he hosted many foreign exchange students through "Youth for Understanding". After his retirement, Frantz had a unique hobby of driving many important officials and celebrities in parades throughout the East Coast. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Cindy, wife of Johnny Ramos of Lebanon; a son, David F., husband of Lana Dengler of California; and grandchildren, Jonathan Ramos of Connecticut, Joseph and Joel Ramos of Lebanon, Michael Perlaki, son of Michael and Vanessa Perlaki of Connecticut, and Vanessa, daughter of David and Lana Dengler of California. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vanessa Dengler, and a grandson, Joshua Ramos. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 20, at 10 a.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park. Viewing will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Fairland Brethren in Christ Church, 529 W. Penn Ave., Cleona, PA 17042.
