  Crede Dallas Douglass III 
   
  Crede D. Douglass, III PALMYRA Crede Dallas Douglass, III, 57, known as "Doug," 
  died peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, following a short illness. He 
  was attended at home by his loving family. Doug was born December 30, 1952, in 
  New Martinsville, W.Va., son of Crede D. Douglass, Jr. and Jean Claire (Brown) 
  Douglass. He grew up in New Martinsville and graduated from Magnolia High 
  School with the class of 1970. Doug pursued many interests during his life and 
  worked as a welder, coal miner, mechanic, bridge painter, farrier, carpenter, 
  and plumber prior to moving to Palmyra 28 years ago. After completing an 
  apprenticeship as a goldsmith, he opened C.D. Douglass & Co. in Campbelltown, 
  specializing in custom jewelry design. He was a man of many interests and 
  talents including his Black Belt in Isshinryu Karate, horse breeding, and golf. 
  He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Kathy Rae (Bender) Douglass; a 
  daughter, Erin of Philadelphia; a son, Ian; a brother, Hugh Douglass of 
  Baltimore, Md.; and a sister, Sara Douglass of Martinsburg, W.Va. A memorial 
  service will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Rothermel Funeral 
  Home, 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. Family and friends are invited for 
  visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Private burial will be in Broad Run Cemetery, Jane 
  Lew, W.Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National 
  Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2040 Linglestown Road, Ste. 104, Harrisburg, PA 
  17110.
