Born June 11, 1916, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Newton Penn and Lydia (Townsend) Drennon and was also preceded in death by his son, David G. Drennon; and a sister, Elizabeth Booth. Retiring as a supervisor from ITE Circuit Breaker, Philadelphia; he was a member of Hershey Evangelical Free Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife of 69 years Eleanor J. (Swisher) Drennon; daughter, Barbara E. Drennon of West Chester; sister, Mildred Burgstresser of Narberth; granddaughter, Suzanne Munck; and seven nieces and nephews. Graveside services with military honors will be held 2 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2010, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Water Street Ministries, P.O. Box 7267, Lancaster, PA 17604; or to Hershey Evangelical Free Church, Attn: Missions, P.O. Box 648, Hershey, PA 17033.
