M. shabodeho@aol.com February 1, 2010, 9:18 pm Published in the Lebanon Daily News on 1/21/2010 Durden, Ronald Ronald Durden ATLANTA, GA Ronald Durden was born November 16, 1951, in Atlanta, Ga., to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Durden. He attended William Penn High School and graduated from John Harris High School. After growing up in Harrisburg, he served in the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1976. He then moved back to Atlanta where he worked as a letter sorter operator with the United States Postal Service for twenty-two years. He was blessed with two beautiful daughters by Stephanie Durden, Audrey Lavern Hines and Dorthea Elizabeth Durden, both of Atlanta, Ga., and one son, Darnell LaPitt Pemberton of Lebanon. He is survived by two daughters, Audrey Lavern Hines and Dorthea Elizabeth Durden; a son, Darnell LaPitt Pemberton; one son-in-law, Authur Hines of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter-in-law, Tina Pemberton of Lebanon; three granddaughters; three grandsons; 12 brothers and sisters, Mr. Leo F. Durden, Jr., Melvin Durden, Mr. Lawrence Durden, Mr. Frederick Durden, Mr. Raymond Durden, Mr. timothy Durden, and Mr. John Durden, all of Harrisburg, Mrs. Phyllis Bass of New Jersey, Mrs. Lavern Morgan of Philadelphia, Mrs. Gloria Ravenal, Ms. Velveeta Durden and Ms. Jackie Durden, all of Harrisburg; 10 nephews; six nieces; and many other relatives and friends.
