  Roger L. Engle MANHEIM Roger L. Engle, 90, of Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement 
  Community, Manheim, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Thursday, July 
  8, 2010, at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. He was the husband of 
  Margaret M. (Miller) Engle of Manheim, and they celebrated 70 years of marriage 
  in December of 2009. Born in Cornwall, he was the son of the late William H. 
  and Sarah E.(Becker) Engle. Roger was a iron ore miner for Bethlehem Steel at 
  the Cornwall Mines for over 35 years before retiring in 1973. Roger was a 
  member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Manheim, and had served on the Vestry 
  of the Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a life member of 
  Elstonville Sportsmen Association. Surviving, in addition to his wife Margaret, 
  is a son, James R. Sr. husband of Karen (Herneisey) Engle of Manheim; six 
  grandchildren; two-step grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was 
  preceded in death by a daughter, Judith A. Findley; and by 12 brothers and 
  sisters. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial 
  service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 90 S. Charlotte St., Manheim on Friday 
  at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery. There will be a 
  time of visitation with the family on Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until 
  the time of the service. In lieu of flowers contributions in Roger's memory may 
  be sent to Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement Community, 3026 Mt. Hope Home Road, 
  Manheim PA 17545; or Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster PA 
  17604-4125. Buch Funeral Home, Manheim PA is in charge of arrangements.
