Eubanks, 96, formerly of Schaefferstown and Lititz, died peacefully Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Elmcroft Assisted Living Community, Lebanon. She was the wife of Paul E. Eubanks, who died in 1993. Born in Pittsburgh, on July 26, 1913, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Hertha (Kuehneisen) Evans. She was a 1930 graduate of Dormont High School, Pittsburgh, attended Geneva College, Beaver Falls, for two years and received a teaching degree from Wittenberg College, Springfield, Ohio. She had been a substitute teacher for six years in the Clark County Schools in Clark County, Ohio. She worshiped in the Christian faith and served for several years in Girl Scouting and the Junior Development Tennis program in Springfield, Ohio. She was a volunteer at the Lebanon County Christian Ministries food bank and the former Good Samaritan Hospital Book Store. She is survived by a daughter, Joy Eubanks of Lebanon; sons, Dennis husband of Marty Eubanks of Wyomissing, and J. Fred husband of Jackie Eubanks of Stuart, Fla.; grandchildren, Paul K. Eubanks of Goodyear, Ariz., Perry Hartmann of Milford, Kim Eubanks of Ephrata, and Heather Hibshman of Ephrata; greatgrandchildren, Garrett and Sierra Hartmann of Milford; stepgrandchildren, Karlyn Wright of Marlton, N.J., and Matt Huettemann of Allentown. She was preceded in death by grandson, Matt Hartmann who died in 1988. Services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pa. Breast Cancer Coalition, 344 N. Reading Road, Ephrata, PA 17522. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown is in charge of arrangements.
