Farnsworth, 84, died Friday, December 17, 2010, of natural causes at the Schuylkill Center in Pottsville. She was the wife of Clayton R. Farnsworth. They would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on December 31, 2010. Her first husband, George Long, died in 1954. Born in Bethel Twp., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Vallie (Daub) Wolfe. Alice worked as the book-keeper for their family business, Farnsworth Auto Parts. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Bethel. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Nancy L., widow of Richard Brown of Bethel, Geraldine A., wife of Larry Lebo of Fredericksburg, Carol J., wife of Richard Blatt of Fredericksburg, and and Susan E., wife of Rickie Luckenbill of Bethel; a stepson, Larry R., husband of Joanne Farnsworth of Bethel; a stepdaughter, Debra A., wife of Isaac Benzel of Fredericksburg; three brothers, Clarence Wolfe of Myerstown, Verling Wolfe of Schubert, and Kenneth Wolfe of Mt. Zion; three sisters, Beulah Wolfe of Bethel, Linda Enders of Dauphin County, and Darlene Webber of Bethel; nine grandchildren, Richard Brown, Jr., Terry Brown, Keith Blatt, Steven Lebo, Nina Klee, Tina Kochman, Nichole Leibensperger, Sherry Massaro, and Heather Forry; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a son, George J. Long; a brother, Thomas Wolfe; and a grandson, Chad Brown. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg, with the Rev. William B. Fryer, Jr. and the Rev. Steve Frykholm officiating. Interment at Salem Reformed Cemetery, Bethel. Friends are invited to call Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 10 to 11 a.m. at Hill Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Berks County, 237 Court St., Reading, PA 19601.
