M. shabodeho@aol.com October 15, 2010, 5:27 pm Published in Lebanon Daily News on October 13, 2010 Frederick Foundling BEVERLY HILLS, FL Frederick 'Fred' Foundling, beloved father and grandfather, 92, formerly of Ephrata, died on Monday, October 4, 2010. He was born in Portsmouth, England, on June 29, 1918, to Jonas and Florence (Gains) Foundling, and immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1963. Mr. Foundling was a retired millwright and volunteered during WWII as a Home Guard repairing warships while living in England. He retired from Armstrong Cork Company in 1978. He was of the Protestant faith, and a 69 year Free and accepted Mason. Fred enjoyed golf, watching soccer on TV, chess and was an award winning ballroom dancer. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Elsie I (Woods) Foundling of Beverly Hills, Fla.; a son, Nigel K. Foundling and wife, Colleen of Lebanon; daughter, Glenis Webb of Houston, Texas; brother, Joe Foundling of Ephrata; grandchildren, Mandy Foundling and Keith Foundling, both of Maytown, Terri St. Clair and husband, Philip Borawaski of Rockwall, Texas, and Michael Allen St. Clair, of Lancaster, Calif. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olivet Lodge, 704 Building Fund, 33 Evergreen Road, Lebanon, PA 17042; or Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464. A Memorial Service of Remembrance was held at Fero Funeral Home, Beverly Hills, Fla., 34465. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Fero Funeral Home.
