Frey PALMYRA Miriam Naomi Carper Frey, 87, died Thursday, August 5, 2010, at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra. Born May 29, 1923 in Palmyra, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Dr. Frank S. Carper and Ella M. (Ebersole) Carper. She taught five years as vocal music supervisor at Palmyra High School. A member of Palmyra Church of the Brethren, she retired in 1983 as minister of music. After retirement she was organist at Harrisburg First Church of the Brethren and also played the organ at Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. She was the widow of Kenneth F. Frey who died in 2007. Surviving are her son, Jeffrey Carper, husband of Lenice Frey of Riley, Kansas; grandchildren, Rider Christian, Elice Lizann, and Eugenia Lee Frey; niece Ann Carper; and nephews, Dr. David Miller, Robert Miller, Joseph Carper, Jim Carper and John Carper. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the DiMatteo Worship Center of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb St., Palmyra. Interment will be private in Spring Creek Cemetery, Hershey. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund, Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, 1200 Grubb St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
