Fritter, 95, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010, in the Cornwall Manor Health Center. He married Marion Strickler Rolston in 1986. Born in Morristown, Ohio, on July 26, 1915, he was the son of Christopher and Mabel Wright Fritter. Col. Fritter was a graduate of Barnesville High School in Ohio, followed by a year at West Nottingham Academy, Colora, Md. He was a West Point Graduate with the class of 1940. Col. Fritter served his country for 30 years, retiring in 1970. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea. Prior to his retirement he spent two tours of duty at the Pentagon. Surviving are his wife of 24 years; daughters, Anne F. Thurston of Alexandria, Va., and Mary T. Fritter of Baltimore, Md.; stepson, Jared L. Rolston of Putney, Vt.; stepdaughters, Louise B. Rolston-Heacock of Fountainville and Kathryn S. Rolston of Harrisburg; and stepgrandchildren, Megan E. Heacock and Theodore B. Heacock. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Charles Fritter. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Rohland Funeral Home, Inc., 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, 17042 for friends and family. Visiting hour will begin at 1 p.m. There will be no viewing. Private interment will take place at the West Point Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Lee's memory to Cornwall Manor Benevolent Fund, P.O. Box 125, Cornwall PA., 17016; the American Red Cross, Lebanon County Chapter, 1220 Mifflin St., Lebanon, PA 17046-3347; or a charity of choosing.
