Furmanak ANNVILLE Stanley Anthony Furmanak, 55, died Saturday, December 4, 2010, in his residence. He was the husband of Linda Sienkiewicz Furmanak, with whom he was married to for nine years, and the late Jane Fitch Furmanak who died in 1988. Born in Darby, Delaware County on April 16, 1955, he was the son of Mary Klodarska Furmanak of Cochranville and the late Stanley Furmanak. Stan was a 1978 graduate of the University of Scranton with a Bachelor's Degree in English. He was a 1982 graduate of Catholic University with a Master's Degree in English Literature and a 1984 graduate of Southern Connecticut State University with a Master's Degree in Library Science. He was a Systems and Reference Librarian Emeritus and web programmer for Lebanon Valley College from 1974-2009. Stan was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church where he was in the choir. He was a Campeer volunteer and a former treasurer for Friends of Old Annville. Stan was also a member of the Lehigh Valley "S" gaugers-model train club and membership secretary for the National Association of "S" gaugers. He was awarded the Bernie Thomas Memorial Award for Meritorious Service to "S" gaugers and placed first in best of show in 2006 and 2007 and received the craftsman award for train models in "S" gauges. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a step-son Daniel D. Arminavage of Annville; two step- daughters Pamela J. Rank of Cleona and Beth Shultz of Norfolk, VA; two brothers John Furmanak of Media and Robert Furmanak of Cochranville; two grandchildren Damian Lawrence and Penelope Rank. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. from St. Paul the Apostle Church, 125 S. Spruce St. Annville. Interment will be held in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory 618 E. Main St. Annville, PA 17003 with a vigil service at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to his church.
