  Verna J. Gerhart PALMYRA Verna J. Gerhart, 89, of 854 Stauffers Church Road, 
  died on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born 
  on Thursday, August 12, 1920, to the late Henry Adams and Mamie Adams nee 
  Kreiser in Jonestown. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. She 
  was a farmer's wife and a Sunday school teacher. Surviving are son, Jacob S. 
  Jr., spouse of Nancy Gerhart of Palmyra; stepdaughter, Annabel, spouse of Ray 
  Wentling of Texas; daughters, Loretta, spouse of Fred Baum of Roanoke, Va., and 
  Cora, spouse of August Memmi of Hershey; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-
  grandchildren; three great-greatgrandchildren; brother, Leroy Adams of 
  Jonestown; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 
  husband, Jacob S. Gerhart, Sr.; son, Ray Gerhart; and brother, Eli Adams. 
  Viewing will be on Saturday, July 3, 2010, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Salem United 
  Church of Christ, 2761 Horseshoe Pike, Campbelltown. Funeral services will be 
  on Saturday, July 3, at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Ono Cemetery, 
  Ono, following the service. Christman's Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve 
  the family with the arrangements.
