  LEBANON Sylvia L. Gerst, 86, died Thursday, September 2, 2010, in Spang Crest 
  Manor, Lebanon. She was the wife of Stanley R. Gerst, who died in 2007. Born in 
  Bordnersville, on January 5, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Adam and 
  Florence L. Wolfe Miller. Sylvia was a 1941 graduate of Lebanon High School. 
  She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Lebanon; the Cleona Women's Club; 
  member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lebanon; White 
  Shrine of Jeruselem; and the Order of the Amaranth. She also volunteered at 
  Spang Crest for many years and enjoyed sewing, walking, and gardening. 
  Surviving are a daughter, Penny, wife of Harry Cameron of Moncton, New 
  Brunswick, Canada; two brothers, Karl W. Miller and Howard R. Miller, both of 
  Lebanon; a sister, Edna Andrews of Florida; six grandchildren, Kerri Eyler, 
  Tracy Heagy, Jodi Harley, Sherri Hornickell, Wendee Kline, and C D Hornickell; 
  and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Stanley A. 
  Gerst, and a sister, Esther Clay. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 
  September 9, at 10 a.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. 
  Main St., Annville. Interment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. 
  Viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. 
  Contributions may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, 8th and Willow Sts., 
  Lebanon, PA 17046; or Spang Crest Manor, 945 Duke St., Lebanon, PA 17042.
