Reistville Road, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Orpha A. Gibble Ginder, with whom he celebrated over 54 years of marriage. He was born in Cleona, on March 6, 1933, a son of the late George and Marion Buser Ginder. Jim was employed for 44 years by Keller Bros. in Buffalo Springs as a mechanic and retired as service manager. He served in Germany with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a life long active member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Schaefferstown, where he was past president of the church council, taught Sunday school, and sang in the choir. He served as president of the Volunteer Fire Co. of Schaefferstown for 35 years; served as Judge of Elections in Heidelberg Township for many years; and volunteered for 13 years with the Lebanon County Christian Ministries Food Bank. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children, Fredric J., husband of Betsey Ginder of Womelsdorf, Carol J., wife of Philip Lizee of Lititz, and Andrew T., husband of Ann Ginder of Schaefferstown; grandchildren, Megan Quirk, Amy Lizee, Graham Ginder, Benjamin Ginder, and Joseph Ginder; brothers, Walter "Ed", husband of Bertha Ginder, and Glenn "Butch", husband of Helen Ginder, both of Schaefferstown; and sister, Marilyn, wife of Charles Yahn of Schaefferstown. He was preceded in death by brothers, George "Bob" Ginder and Peter Ginder. Memorial service will be held on Monday, March 22, at 7 p.m. in the St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 305 W. Main St., Schaefferstown, 17088, followed by a reception in the church social hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the "Building Fund" of his church.
