Garfield St., died Monday, July 12, 2010, in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Clarence L. "Abe" Gingrich, who died in 1994. Born in Palmyra, on December 5, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Funck and Mary Brubaker Funck Smith. Sis was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Cleona, the Cleona Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, volunteered for the Noon Meals Program, Lebanon County Christian Ministries, and participated in the Palmyra Bowling Leagues. Surviving are a sister, Arlene Fake of Palmyra; two grandchildren, Christopher Beard, and Diane, wife of Mark Leonard; two greatgrandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Louis Beard of Palmyra. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Reta Gingrich Beard, and a brother, Harold "Punch" Funck. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from Immanuel United Methodist Church, 29 E. Maple St., Cleona, 17042. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park. Viewing will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Contributions may be made to her church in her memory. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville, is in charge of arrangements.
