Glick, 86, formerly of Willow Street, passed away at home on Thursday, May 6, 2010, after an illness of five months. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 63 years, Anna Mary (Swartz) Glick. Born April 14, 1924, in Millersville, where he was raised, he was a son of the late Adam and Ada (Breneman) Glick. Harold was a devoted member of High View Church of God in Ronks. He worked as a farmer until 1960, at J.H. Brubaker lumberyard, and RCA for nearly 30 years before retiring in 1986. After retirement, he spent many years making furniture and worked part-time for David Lynch and Associates. A farmer at heart, he tended a large vegetable garden and grew many flowers, including sweet peas, which he and his wife delivered to nursing homes for many years. An extremely resourceful man who could always make something out of nothing, Harold loved designing and making simple tools, toys for his daughter, and marble runs for his grandchildren. He also loved jigsaw puzzles, a hobby he shared with his daughter and grandson. In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by his daughter, Mary Jean Glick, wife of David Lynch; his beloved grandchildren, Ruth and Adam GlickLynch; two sisters, Naomi, wife of Ronald Campbell, and Esther, wife of Hartman Moore; and two sisters-inlaw, Ruth Glick and Shirley Glick. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Glenn Jay Glick, an infant daughter; two sisters: Elsie Glick and Edna Mae Glick; and two brothers, Robert Glick and Earl Glick. Funeral services were held Monday at High View Church of God, 270 Leaman Rd. Ronks, with Rev. J. Thomas Lefever officiating. Burial took place at Stehman Memorial United Methodist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, 685 Good Dr., Lancaster, PA 17604-4125; or High View Church of God, 270 Leaman Rd. Ronks, PA 15772.
