  Bertha E. Groff 
  
  ANNVILLE Bertha E. Groff, 94, formerly of 739 Barbara Drive, Lebanon, died 
  Thursday, December 23, 2010, in the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville. She was the 
  wife of John Y. Groff, who died in 2003. Born in Hershey, on May 20, 1916, she 
  was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Sylvia Gerberich Habecker. She 
  retired in 1980 as a secretary for the Lebanon County Planning Commission. 
  Bertha was a 1935 graduate of Hershey High School. She was a member of St. 
  Mark's United Church of Christ, Lebanon, where she was a member of the Koinania 
  Adult Sunday School Class, the Koinania Singers, the Church Ladies Sewing 
  Circle, and served as a Sunday School Teacher of the Kindergarten Department. 
  She was an avid knitter and a volunteer teacher's aide at South Lebanon 
  Elementary School. Surviving are three daughters, Gayle A., wife of Edward 
  Olden of Lebanon, Susan E., wife of Jay Fisher of Lebanon, and Jean L., wife of 
  Gary Miller of Calabash, N.C.; a sister, Eva Deibler; eight grandchildren; and 
  eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy 
  Spohn, and a grandson, Terrence L. Knight, Jr. Funeral services will be held on 
  Monday, December 27, at 2 p.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 
  E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park. Viewing 
  will be held on Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may 
  be made to St. Mark's United Church of Christ, 426 N. 8th St., Lebanon, PA 
  17046.
