Hainly, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, Harrisburg. She was predeceased by her husband Donald L. Hainly on May 14, 2000. She was born Saturday, November 4, 1933, in South Annville Township, to the late Ruth (Boyd) Whitmore. She graduated from Hershey High School in 1951, retired from Hershey Foods after 40 years of service, was a member of Campbelltown United Methodist Church, enjoyed reading, needlepoint, cooking and preparing her special potpie, cornpie and ham and bean soup for guests. Most of all, she cherished being a mom, grandma, and great grandma. She is survived by a daughter, Lee Anne Sattazahn and husband, Robert of Palmyra; a son, Donald 'Skip' C. Hainly and wife, Kathy of Lebanon; a grandson, Steven Sattazahn and wife, Amanda of Harrisburg; a granddaughter, Susan Gillam and husband, Jason of Windfall, Ind.; a great-grandson, Joseph Donald Sattazahn; stepfather, Earl 'Whitty' Whitmore of Palmyra; two aunts, Mae Wallace and Fannie Hartman of Palmyra; brothers and sisters-in-law; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with the Reverend J. Thomas Truitt officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in Campbelltown United Christian Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Campbelltown United Methodist Church, Memorial Fund, 2760 Horseshoe Pike, Campbelltown, PA 17010; or Hospice of Central PA, P.O.
