  Harry Harlacher Jr. 
  
  Harry Harlacher, Jr. PALMYRA Harry Harlacher, Jr. , 87, passed away Sunday, 
  July 25, 2010, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born October 12, 
  1922, in New Cumberland, a son of the late Harry, Sr. and Mary Jane (Baublitz) 
  Harlacher. Mr. Harlacher retired as an educator from the University of Central 
  Florida. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Clarion and 
  received his Masters from Penn State University. He formerly taught at Palmyra 
  High School, Milton Hershey School, and the former Hershey Junior College. He 
  was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Palmyra and a WWII Navy 
  veteran. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Kathryn M. (Hawbecker) Harlacher; 
  three sons, Barry M., and John C. Harlacher of Hawaii, and Daniel Lee Harlacher 
  of Port Orange, Fla.; six grandchildren, Ryan, Kaley, Jordan and Cheyenne 
  Harlacher, Marcie Torres and Jodi Bones; seven greatgrandchildren, Logan, Josh, 
  Maile, and Lili Torres, and Alexis, Isaiah and Arianna Bones; and a sister, 
  Anna Marie Faherty of Scranton. He was preceded in death by daughter, Cathy Ann 
  Ryman. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. in the Hoover Funeral Homes & 
  Crematory, Inc., Route #422 & Lucy Avenue, Hershey. Visitation will be 1 hour 
  prior to the service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In 
  lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the First 
  United Methodist Church, Birch & Green Streets, Palmyra, PA 17078.
