Hartman, 34, died unexpectedly as a result of an auto accident, on Monday, June 21, 2010, in Mount Joy Township. Born in Manheim, he was the son of Victoria L. Eyman Averill wife of Jim Averill of Apache Junction, Arizona and Garylou D. Hartman of Schaefferstown. Brian worked as an electrician for McCarty and Son Inc. Ephrata. He was a member of St. Andrew United Church Of Christ, Lancaster and attended LCBC Manheim. Brian was a member of the Elstonville Sportsmen Association, the Germania Band Club all of Manheim, the Abraham C. Treichler Masonic Lodge 682 Elizabethtown, and the Otters Club Inc. of Lancaster. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and traveling. Brian had a passion for four wheeling; and was a member of Rausch Creek Trailriders, where he went four wheeling with his jeep in the Pine Grove area. Surviving in addition to his parents is a sister, Jennifer L. Hartman of Gilbert, Arizona, a brother, Michael G. Hartman of Flagstaff, Arizona, paternal grandmother, Loubelle Hartman of Schaefferstown, and an uncle Richard Eyman of Manheim. Brian will be lovingly missed by his girlfriend, Kristi Unger of Paradise. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Edward A. Dickel and Pastor Michelle E. Armster officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Flowers will be accepted, or you may send contributions in Brian's memory to St. Andrew United Church of Christ 701 N. Lime St., Lancaster, PA 17602. The Buch Funeral Home Manheim is in charge of arrangements.
