  Ellen L. Hass JEFFERSON, NC Mrs. Ellen Lavina Gundrum Hass, 85, of Segraves 
  Nursing Care Center, died Friday morning, February 12, 2010, at Ashe Memorial 
  Hospital. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Boone Family Funeral 
  Home Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Graybeal officiating. Burial will be held on 
  Thursday at 10 a.m. at Grandview Memorial Park in Annville. The family will 
  receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Boone Family Funeral Home, West 
  Jefferson, N.C. A second funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at 
  Kreamer Funeral Home in Annville. Mrs. Hass was born in Rexmount, on Tuesday, 
  September 9, 1924, to the late Harry J. and Mable Brenner Gundrum. She was a 
  sewing machine operator. She was preceded in death by her husband, George 
  William Hass; a son, William David Hass; and a granddaughter, Deanna Guy. She 
  is survived by a son, Barry Hass of Creston, N.C.; three daughters, Judy 
  Hartsoe and husband, Robert of Creston, N.C., Bonnie Mershon and husband, Tom 
  of Lebanon, and Beverly Copenhaver and husband, Ronald of Jonestown; a brother, 
  Gene Gundrum and wife, Pat of DuBoise; a sister-in-law, Violet Sonon of 
  Lebanon; 12 grandchildren, Sarah Hass, Michael Hass, Jason Hass, Tony Hartsoe, 
  Wendy Hart, Thomas Field, Tammy Hilliard, Douglas Field, Tina Gebhart, Ronald 
  Copenhaver, Jason Copenhaver, and Randy Shambers; 22 greatgrandchildren; and 
  several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to 
  Gideon's, P.O. Box 993, West Jefferson, NC 28694; or Riverview Lion's Club, 
  1173 Campbell Road, Warrensville, NC 28693; or to the donor's choice.
