Herr, 89, of 1415 Sandhill Road, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010, at Spang Crest Manor, Leba non. He was the husband of Beatrice E. (Hartman) Herr. Henry was born in Cleona, on November 25, 1920. He was a son of the late Ralph and Larene (Heisey) Herr. He was a retired painter from the Lebanon VA Hospital. He attended Lebanon High School. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Radio Operator for the 241ST Signal Corps, and served in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Lebanon. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed bicycling and hiking, but most of all, making his grandchildren laugh. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert T., husband of Sandra L. Hartman of Lebanon, and Leonard H., husband of Kathy Herr of Woodstock, Ga.; three grandchildren, Cookie, Brian, and Tim; six great-grandchildren; a greatgreat-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Herr. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Church, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon, 17046. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Viewing hours Tuesday morning 9 to 10 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Church. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
