  Sanford H. Hess 
   
  Sanford H. Hess TULPEHOCKEN TWP. Sanford H. Hess, 86, died Wednesday, January 
  27, 2010, of natural causes at his residence. He was the husband of Elaine R. 
  (Harker) Hess. His first wife, Cora (Ober) Hess, died in 1974. Born in Witmer, 
  he was the son of the late John K. and Annie G. (High) Hess. He was a retired 
  self employed produce farmer. He was a member of the Bible Tabernacle Church, 
  Schuylkill Haven. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Stanley 
  O. Hess, husband of Carol (Hunsberger) of Bernville, Daniel O. Hess, husband of 
  Gail (White) of Leoma, Tenn., David J. Hess, husband of Sheila (Bordner) of 
  Bernville, and Glenn O. Hess, husband of Robin (Stitzel) of Bernville; three 
  daughters, Elma O., wife of Michael Burkholder of Bernville, Sara Jane, wife of 
  John Zeager of Rheems, and Susan O., wife of Carl Chupp of Greenwood, Del.; 22 
  grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, 
  Lois Ann Hess, in 1967; and by all of his brothers and sisters. Services will 
  be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Inc., Wernersville, 
  with the Rev. Ward Ketch officiating. Interment will be at Myerstown Mennonite 
  Church Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Friday 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 
  to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
