Hipp, 74, died peacefully on Monday, April 26, 2010, at his home. Mr. Hipp was born on December 28, 1935, in Lebanon. He was a graduate of both Lebanon High School and Lebanon Valley College. Commander Hipp honorably served 32 years in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He was a Mason with both the William S. Snyder Masonic Lodge and Old Paxton Lodge, and was a member of the Zembo Shrine of Harrisburg, Scottish Rite-Valley of Harrisburg, National Sojourners, Inc., Fleet Reserve Association, Navy Club, St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Lebanon, and both Harbor North and Wellwood Yacht Clubs in Maryland. He was a master musician who donated his time and talent, playing both piano and organ for many of these organizations' official events. Mr. Hipp was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Hipp, and grandparents, Annie and Amos Rutter. He is survived by his beloved sisters, Geraldine M. Keller and Ann Reisinger; adored nieces and nephews, Cheryl Cortelazzi, Judy McElwee, Sandy Enders, Ron Reisinger, Rick Reisinger, and Debra Becker; and 10 grand nieces and nephews. A life celebration service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at the Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
