Raymond Hippert, Jr., 75, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010, at his home. Born on December 30, 1934, in West Lawn, he was a son of the late Tyrus R. Sr. and Bertha Kline Hippert. He was affiliated with St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pine Grove. Ray retired as a electrician general services for the Commonwealth of Pa., and drove charter buses for the Newhurst Bus Company. He was a member of the Pine Grove Masonic Lodge #409 F.&A.M., a social member of the Pine Grove V.F. W. and an active member of the Pine Grove Fish & Game, Asso. He had served with the National Guard. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Merriill Hippert and Luke Brooks. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Corrine 'Tina' Anspach Hippert; five daughters, Renee Beuchler and Vana Steckley of Pine Grove, Debra Weidman of Richland, Beverly, wife of Kevin Irwin of Newmanstown, and Betty, wife of Barry Martzall of Myerstown; two sons, Ty Hippert of Pine Grove, and Tyrus III, husband of Hye Yon Hippert, of Houston, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday, April 3, 2010, at 1 p.m. with Dr. Richard Schoenleber, officiating. There will be a viewing on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., with Masonic services prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove. The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the Hospice of Lebanon, 202 Hathaway Park, Lebanon, Pa. 17042; or to the Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, 18 Wertz Road, Pine Grove, Pa. 17963, in his memory.
