Hogarth, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 20, 2010, at his home. He was the husband of the late Jacqueline DeFalco Hogarth. Born in Lancaster, on May 19, 1922, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lila Belle McComsey Hogarth. In 1989 he retired from the Milton Hershey School where he had been a teacher instructing in plumbing and heating. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, Jonestown, the VFW, the American Legion, a life member of the DAV and a member of the Alumni Association of the Milton Hershey School. He is survived by his sons, Phillip J. husband of Judy Ann Hogarth of Palmyra and Joseph N. Hogarth, Jr., and his wife, Kelly of Carlisle; daughters, Toni Marie wife of Robert Cress of Jeffersonville and Regina H. wife of Timothy McCauley of Chambers Hill; sister, Mary Hamlin of Ephrata; 16 grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John and William Hogarth; and sisters, Evelyn Snyder, Margaret Shaub, Lilie Peters and June Gingrich. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 12:30 p.m. at the Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, Rt. 22, Jonestown. No viewing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. There will be a luncheon immediately following the interment at the Farmer's Wife Restaurant, Ono. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 1513 Cedar Cliff Drive, Suite 100 Camp Hill, PA 170111.
