Houser, 88, of 14 Kindred Place, formerly of Hershey, died Thursday,ÊSeptember 23, 2010, in the Ephrata Community Hospital. He was the husband ofÊHelenÊBenedict Houser, who died in 2000. Born in Sheridan, on November 17, 1921,Êhe was the son of the late George and Clara Heilman Houser. Wesley began hisÊcareer as a researchÊengineer at Penn State, University Park, and in 1968Êaccepted a job as Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at the CapitalÊCampus of Penn State University,ÊHarrisburg. He was a U.S.ÊarmyÊVeteranÊofÊWWII, a 1939 graduate of Lebanon High School, graduated fromÊLehigh University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and receivedÊhisÊMaster's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University. He was aÊmember of the Church of the Redeemer United Church of Christ, Hershey, theÊHershey ItalianÊLodge, and was an avid golfer. Surviving are a daughter, MaryÊJane, wife of John Mark Aichele of Hershey; a son, David Houser of Hershey; aÊsister, Mildred Beveloque of EastÊPetersburg; four grandchildren; and oneÊgreat-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and WarrenÊHouser; and three sisters, Verna Bruder, Mary HildaÊSchell, and Mae Kimmel.ÊFuneral services will be held on Wednesday, September 29, at 10:30 a.m. from theÊKreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville.ÊInterment will beÊin Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors. Viewing will beÊheld on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
