Hubler, 73, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010, in Schuylkill Medical Center, S. Jackson St., Pottsville. Born on December 27, 1936, in Pine Grove Twp., she was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Elizabeth (Zerbe) Zerbe. Thelma was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pine Grove. She was the captain of the Hubler's Car Wash Team in the Admiral Bowling League and had been a member of the former Mary E. Moore Chapter 372 O.E.S. in Pine Grove. Preceding her in death were five sisters, Dorothy Nagle, Emma Kohr, Clara Schierer, Irene Anspach, and Carrie Zimmerman; and four brothers, Harry Zerbe, Robert Zerbe, Cleveland "Batch" Zerbe, and Melvin Fidler. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Harvey D. Hubler; a daughter, Elaine and husband, James Quinn of Branchdale; a son, Allen Hubler of Pine Grove; two grandsons, Francis Quinn and Michael Quinn; a sister, Mabel Umbenhauer of Tremont; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove, on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with Dr. Richard Schoenleber officiating. There will be a viewing on Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove. The family would prefer that in lieu of flowers, donations be given to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 312 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, PA 17963.
